WALLS
When Protection Becomes Isolation
A wall is built from fear of being hurt again. It keeps everyone at a distance, even people who are safe. Walls sound like silence, shutting down, or 'I don't need anyone.' They feel like protection in the moment, but over time they create loneliness. Walls say 'you can't come near me.' Boundaries say 'this is what I need to let you in.' The difference is whether connection is still possible.
